Podnews reports that Android podcast app PodcastAddict has been adding x-rated chapter images to podcasts, without creator consent. “PodcastAddict’s developer, Xavier Guillemane, told Podnews that the feature was opt-in, adding that he was “very surprised [at] this kind of image as the safe search should be on.” I didn’t expect this variation of the “Oops! All Berries!” meme.
The Triton Digital US Podcast Report 2025 showed that “Niche genres help attract new listeners,” and 36% of fiction podcast consumer respondents were new to podcasts as of 2025 (page 9).

Casting Call: Coronation Media seeks US performers for a Six Episode Narrative Podcast, that takes two children on a quest to save their father through a battle between heaven and hell. Will need sessions to be recorded with professional studio equipment during live recording sessions with the director. Paid. Listing expires Feb 25.
The Austin Film Festival Fiction Podcast Award is an international competition for independent fiction podcast scripts. Scripts that have been produced are only eligible if: more than one season has not been released to the public; and the show is produced independently and is not controlled by, under exclusive licence to, or financed by any major podcast production company or network. The early bird deadline is 26th March, the late deadline is 24th April, and the final deadline is 27th May.
Launches and Milestones
Counterbalance Season 3 kicked off on February 15th. Kessir's awesome high fantasy audio drama is back to fix the holes in magic and burst into song.
