Podnews reports, “Audio is still the #1 way to consume podcasts, despite the chatter about video. That’s one of the findings of the latest Cumulus Media and Signal Hill Insights Podcast Download Report.... Over half of podcast consumers on YouTube also listen to the same podcasts on another platform. Only 8% just watch podcasts, a number that hasn’t changed since 2022.”

OnAirFest’s Open Call for Pitches says, “Pitch us your session, experience, performance, or installation…We’re centered on live experience and audience connection, and we welcome curiosity, surprise, and originality.” Deadline: December 5.

Sound Scene’s request for proposals offers an honorarium for international artists (between $200 and $2000) for an art piece involving interactive installations, live performances, or small group workshops. Their roots are in sound art, but they also accept multimedia pieces. The theme is “Distant Mirror,” or “What can be heard when we consider the future and the past at the same time?” (chew on that, InceptionPoint AI.)
